Arabic words for tattoo & henna – written correctly
Everyday words people often choose as a motif: each with its spelling, transliteration, meaning and the places where things can go wrong when tattooing or applying henna.
Deliberately not included
We do not show names of God, Quran verses or religious formulas. Many Muslims consider it inappropriate to wear such words permanently on the skin or in places that may later be impure. We are not a religious authority: if your motif has a religious connection, ask a knowledgeable person first – someone you know, not us.

How to proceed
- Pick a word and check that the meaning fits you (mind masculine/feminine).
- View it at real size on skin in the tattoo studio, choose a script and download the 1:1 stencil.
- Show the stencil to your artist: do not mirror, do not “close” the gaps, keep to the minimum size.
